The Violet
Forgotten behind drapes,
it shed its leaves, ‘til two remained.
These silent, green ascetics,
broad and fuzzy, drank the air,
until help (me, while spring cleaning)
brought fresh water. Oh, wise plant!

They knew
They knew just how to work the land and when to husk new corn;
they knew herbs for every ill, the fitting depth of a root cellar.
Do they smile down on what I reap, strange fruits of city labors

But They Purloined My Coat
I fall asleep when the moon catches my dark windowsill
Maybe he's crying for me to run away through the stars?
But I'm tied to my bed, by the warmth of the one I love

Carp Infested Pedicures
Ladies say they love the feeling of small fish biting off the dead skin.
I can't imagine getting eaten by fish, even if they are

so, backyard sparklers will replace the big public gatherings.

Changes Have Begun
Cheerios spill as consumers learn to use new milk jug,
reports NY Times. Boxy designs are more eco-friendly.
A wise green wake-up has begun restyling our wanton ways.

Exhibit at Boston's ICA
Today I saw and heard the art of Anish Kapoor;
he unsolidifies the sense of space through curves and tunnels.
I wanted to slip through the indigo hole into where?
